Emily has always had a strong love of music. She wrote her first song when she was only 6 years old and began learning to play the guitar at age 13. She has also received extensive vocal training. Emily moved to Nashville, Tennessee when she was 17 and attended Middle Tennessee State University. While attending MTSU, she became an active member of the Nashville Songwriter’s Association. She formed solid business contacts with some of Nashville’s leading publishers and was given the opportunity to perform at the famous, Bluebird Café. Emily obtained a music degree, with an emphasis in songwriting, from MTSU in 2007. Since relocating to Atlanta this year to be near family, she has performed at several venues in the area and has continued to maintain her connections in Nashville. She is excited to have the opportunity to instill her passion for music into the hearts of her students.
