The dance major will complete an intensive study of the three major techniques (ballet, jazz and tap) with an emphasis in ballet. All dance majors are required to study and test for certification in the Cecchetti Method through the Cecchetti Counsel of America. As a requirement for entry into the COMPASS dance program each artist must audition and be accepted into the Suwanee Ballet’s Swan’s on Main company. The minimum required classes for acceptance in to the Ballet must be met to maintain a position in the company and the exciting performance opportunities offered there! The additional classes selected for the COMPASS dancer will better maximize strength, conditioning and versatility to put her leaps and bounds above the competition.
