Suwanee Academy of the Arts


These classes are for the kindergartener and older dance student. Progressing in age and level, these students will experience ballet class starting at the barre and ending with reverence (French for curtsy). Training becomes more challenging and exciting. What was once a dream becomes a reality as students bodies respond with increased flexibility. Ballet is the base for all dance forms and is a prerequisite for many classes. Terminology and technique are the focus for these students.

Schedule Information

This hour-long class meets once a week from August-May, and for our more serious dancer maybe combined with another ballet class such as Cecchetti or a class in Jazz or Tap. Ballet classes are also available for adults. Please see our schedule page for full details and the ability to register for any of our classes.


This class participates in the End-of-the-Year Performance; a production where students become part of a full length show, presented at a professional theater. From the youngest dancer to the most mature soloist, every cast member works as a part of a team to put on a professional quality show that will excite its audience. 

Dress Requirements

The class uniform is: pink tights, black leotard, pink ballet shoes, hair pulled away from face, buns are requested. The Dressing Room, housed at Suwanee Academy of the Arts, has all the attire needed for class.

Fun Week

Once a month this class participates in Fun Week, which is always a big hit! The "uniform" is relaxed and students may wear colorful leotards, tutus, or dress-up clothes.
