Our combination classes are primarily ballet instruction with an introduction to Tap or Jazz once a month. At this level of dance, these students will be learning basic Tap or Jazz steps, to give them a taste of this style of dance.
This hour class is given once a week from August-May. Please see our schedule page for full details and the ability to register for any of our classes.
Once a month (usually the last week) this class participates in Fun Week, which is always a big hit! Tap or Jazz is studied the whole day and the "uniform" is relaxed and students may wear colorful leotards with their required shoes.
This class participates in the End-of-the-Year Performance; a production where students become part of a full length show, presented at a professional theater. From the youngest dancer to the most mature soloist, every cast member works as a part of a team to put on a professional quality show that will excite its audience.
The class uniform for ages 4-5: pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes, hair pulled away from face. Ages K-1: (Tap) black leotard, pink tights and black tap shoes (Jazz) black leotard, pink tights, black jazz pants, pink ballet shoes, and black jazz shoes, hair pulled away from face. The Dressing Room, housed at Suwanee Academy of the Arts, has all the attire needed for class.
This class is offered for 2nd year students who have completed either a Ballet/Jazz or Ballet/Tap class.
