Middle School and up
No prior dance experience is necessary for this class. Learning grace and
flexibility, as well as the rhythm of tap, students improve their body awareness
through classic Broadway choreography. This class is great for the Drama student
who wants to participate in musical theater productions. The focus is dance so
get ready to move!
This hour-long class meets once a week from August-May, and is a wonderful a compliment class to Drama. Please see our schedule page for full details and the ability to register for any of our classes.
This class participates in the End-of-the-Year Performance; a production where students become part of a full length show, presented at a professional theater. From the youngest dancer to the most mature soloist, every cast member works as a part of a team to put on a professional quality show that will excite its audience.
The class uniform is: Black leotard, black jazz pants black jazz shoes, character shoes for girls and tap shoes (or character/ hard sole shoes). The Dressing Room, housed at Suwanee Academy of the Arts, has everything you need for class.
