(By invitation or audition only) 7th grade and up. We are looking for 12 to 15 young men and women who love to sing! This group will rehearse tight harmonies and fascinating rhythms throughout the fall semester to perform with a live jazz band for a winter & spring performance as well as performance opportunities throughout the year. This class is scheduled to meet for ear training and rehearsal from August-May for one and a half hours per week. Additional rehearsal times will be needed prior to performances outside of the weekly time. Please see our schedule page for full details, and contact us for an acceptance appointment.
These vocalists and the jazz band that backs them will be performing in at least two cabaret performances. It is our hope that as ambassadors to SAA and the Suwanee community that this group will also be performing throughout the summer and into the fall as a part of the non for profit organization Suwanee Performing Arts. There are no set uniform requirements for rehearsals. Performance attire will be selected based on performance venues and you will be informed of any specific casual or formal dress requirements after classes begin in the fall.
